JAS Motorsport have revealed today that they will make their return to touring car racing in the UK next year.
Following huge success around the world with the JAS Motorsport-built Honda Civic Type R TCR, the FL5 model will return to TCR UK in 2026, entered as part of a three car team.
JAS Motorsport is a HRC supported operation for all of its TCR endeavours.
The FL5 is the reigning TCR global model of the year, a title that has been held by JAS Motorsport-built Honda Civic Type R TCR models three times. This also marks the return of the model back to TCR UK, where it made its debut in 2023
The driver line up and team involved will be revealed at a later date, however plans are already underway to line up on the grid for the 2026 TCR UK season.
Having unfinished business in UK Motorsport, at a time where there is clear growth in the UK market, this provides the ideal opportunity for Honda to announce their return.
TCR UK Promoter Stewart Lines is pleased to reveal this exciting update.
“It’s fantastic news that we have the Honda brand back in the UK. The Honda TCR car has had massive success globally, its one of the most competitive touring cars ever produced,” said Stewart.
“These are the first three additions to the TCR UK grid for 2026, proving that the new association with BARC and the calendar provided is having a massive positive effect going forward.”
