Mark Smith will join Capture Motorsport for the finale of the 2025 TCR UK season at Brands Hatch this weekend.

The CUPRA driver, who leads the Goodyear Diamond Award going into the last two races of the year, joins the established line-up of championship leader Adam Shepherd, Will Beech and Gregory Saunders.

Mark switched to the newer CUPRA Leon Competicion for the 2025 season and has worked hard to improve his driving style and performance in the new car.

The results are already paying off with the West Midlands-based driver running inside the top ten of this year’s drivers’ championship, taking a best finish of sixth place at Donington Park so far.

The team will run four cars at Brands Hatch as they look to finish off their second season in TCR UK on a high.

Whilst Adam leads the drivers’ standings, Will is also a contender for the Goodyear Diamond Award, and Gregory has enjoyed an exciting debut season in the championship.

Capture Motorsport Team Manager Leon Pegg is delighted to see Mark join the team.

“I’m delighted to have Mark join us for the final rounds of the year. We’ll be working with Mark to help him progress further up the grid, having already shown great improvement during the season,” said Leon.

“The goal for Brands Hatch is to support Mark as he looks to secure the 2025 Goodyear Diamond Award.”

Championship Manager Jack Finlan spoke about the move

“Mark has been one of the drivers who has made good progress during the year, and I’m sure he’ll continue that upward trajectory with Capture Motorsport. I wish Mark all the best ahead of the season finale at Brands Hatch, as he fights for the Goodyear Diamond Award.”
