Hot on the heels of the announcement of the dates and venues for the 2024 TCR UK Touring Car Championship, the next piece of the jigsaw to fall in place is the confirmation of the championships that will support TCR UK next year.

With a range of different championships in place at each of the TCR UK events in 2023, the 2024 season will see four full time support Championships which will be part of the TCR events for the full season to provide fantastic entertainment for the growing fanbase both at events and through the fantastic full day online coverage.

The following championships will be in action at each of the seven events next year:

  • The Milltek Sport Civic Cup
  • The BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship
  • The AIRTEC Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship
  • The Audi TT Cup Racing series

The Milltek Sport Civic Cup

Using a mix of the latest Mk7 Fiesta Zetec S and the Mk6 Fiesta ST150, the Fiesta Juniors is set to continue to grow again in 2024 as it enters its second season as a full-time support Championship to TCR UK, and you can guarantee the grid of 14 to 17-year-old drivers will again provide fantastic on-track action and excitement for the fans.

The AIRTEC Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship
Sitting alongside the Fiesta Junior Championship, the AIRTEC Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship offers a senior version of the popular Ford model, which runs to a single one-make class structure with the car of choice being the Mk7 Ford Fiesta ST180, known within the championship as the ST240 due to a boost in power up to 240bhp.

Using turbocharged engines and slick tyres, the Fiesta ST240’s are the ideal proving ground before the step is made up to TCR UK.

The Audi TT Cup Racing Series
The new for 2023 Audi TT Cup Racing Series, is the UK’s only one-make Audi racing series dedicated to the sporty TT coupe. The Audi TT Cup Racing cars are based around front-wheel drive 2.0 TFSI versions of the popular German coupe.

Offering drivers top levels of performance and awesome race car looks, as well as maximum value for money, all cars are equal in terms of performance and handling, meaning getting the best out of them will be down to driving talent and racing skills.

Its inaugural season of competition saw a fantastic uptake in cars being built with over 30 already in existence, and now given its full-time support status to TCR UK that is certainly going to grow again in 2024.

As well as the full-time support races, select events will feature additional guest Championships to further enhance the package, with the August event at Silverstone will also see the addition of the exciting Ginetta Juniors tackling the high-speed nature of the National layout.

Ashley Gallagher, Championship Manager – TCR UK Touring Car Championship and Milltek Sport Civic Cup

“The 2023 season marked the return of TCR UK being the headline of its own events, where we’ve been able to showcase many of the BRSCC championships to TCR UK’s growing fan base.

“It’s now a great opportunity for the package as a whole to continue to grow, and this is helped by this announcement of four full-time support races, which will give the fans a consistent set of content to follow through the season, both at the track or through our fantastic all-day live coverage through the TCR UK YouTube channel.

“With the four Championships announced today all being synonymous with big grids and close racing, we are guaranteed a great weekend of action on track, and being able to have the support races at all the rounds during the season further strengthens the packages proposition to teams who may be looking to run cars across multiple Championships, which will be a key part in the growths of the package as a whole.”
