Andy Wilmot will return to the TCR UK Championship this year, with a full-season entry and part of the growing presence of JamSport Racing on the grid.

Having competed in both a Vauxhall Astra TCR and CUPRA TCR in 2021, Wilmot swaps to a Hyundai i30 N TCR for this year, where he joins his three JamSport Racing teammates Ant Whorton-Eales, Simon Tomlinson and Adam Shepherd.

After racing in a wide variety of saloon car championships, the 2020 Volkswagen Racing Cup Champion intends to bring his extensive experience to one of the newest teams on the grid and build on his performance from last year’s TCR UK campaign.

“It’s great to be going into this year’s TCR UK season with JamSport Racing”, said Wilmot.

“I’ve known Jamie (Going) the owner for around 10 years and seen his team grow into a professional championship-winning operation. I’m confident this new association will give me the best shot at success.

“With more cars on the TCR UK grid than ever before, I’m excited about what is shaping to be a very competitive season ahead.”
