Race winner Max Hart returns for his third season in TCR UK, joining JamSport Racing to complete their impressive five-car line-up for this year’s 15-round Championship.

Whilst a different car to the one he used to good effect last year, the 20-year-old Irishman will compete behind the wheel of a Selco Hygiene backed Hyundai i30N TCR for the second season in succession.

One of the championship’s most exciting drivers to watch, Hart made his intentions clear straight out the box last year, when he took victory in round one at Silverstone. From then on, he showed himself as a consummate competitor, whether starting from the front or having to battle his way through the field.

As the season progressed, Hart recorded two pole positions and seven visits to the podium. In doing so, he regularly challenged the eventual TCR UK winner Lewis Kent, meaning it wasn’t only Formula 1 that could claim a season-long Max v Lewis rivalry.

Ahead of this weekend’s opening two rounds at Oulton Park, Hart feels he has some unfinished business to attend to and can’t wait for battle to commence:

“I’m excited to return for another season in TCR UK. I’ll be joining JamSport Racing for their first full championship programme and I’m really looking forward to competing in what has turned out to be a much larger and more competitive grid this year.

“Boosted by the momentum from 2021, I’ve had a successful closed season by attracting some great sponsors to support my 2022 programme. I would therefore like to thank Selco Hygiene, Adapt Paper Products, Kiltorcan Raceway, Carnegie Aggregates, Pro-Tray and Digital Motorsports for their support and getting me on the grid!”
