Berkshire Turbo has announced that they have increased their support for the 2024 TCR UK Touring Car Championship.

The increased backing from the Crowthorne-based business, known for being a designer and manufacturer of specialist e-bikes, means that all cars contesting TCR UK this season will carry Berkshire Turbo windscreen headers.

Established in 1976, Berkshire Turbo’s specialist bike shop continues to offer a wealth of expertise in bicycles of all types and ages.

Catering to the entire family, they provide a diverse selection of cycles, including high-end and entry-level mountain bikes, road, gravel, hybrid bikes, and a range of children’s bikes from balance models to 24″ wheels.

July 2015 was a landmark moment when the business revealed the “Turbo Levo”, the world’s first Mountain e-bike in the Mountain Bike market.

Two years later, Berkshire Turbo introduced a Carbon frame into the range, further enhancing their lightweight e-bikes as they moved with the times and demands of their customer base.

In 2018, they opened the World’s first specialised-only E-bike shop. Selling all types of electric bikes from mountain bikes, city bikes to road bikes. The popularity of these bikes continues to grow.

Chris Reilly’s team have gone from strength to strength as they have continued to introduce models within their expanded specialist e-bike range.

Thanks to the close-fought nature of touring car racing, this also provides Berkshire Turbo with further exposure during livestreaming and the on-track action for the fans at each event, witnessing the exciting on-track action which TCR UK always provides.

Berkshire Turbo CEO Chris Reilly has been impressed with the rise of TCR UK since his company joined as a partner back in 2022 and is proud to increase his backing ahead of the new season.

“For over 30 years we have shared a passion for motorsport and it was during my time as a SideCar racer that I met Stewart Lines. After witnessing the on-track spectacle of TCR UK during our first visit at Donington Park back in 2021, It was clear to me that I wanted Berkshire Turbo to be a part of this fantastic championship,” said Chris.

“Since we’ve come on board, TCR UK has taken a step up each year, with new cars, new teams and drivers coming on board. The growth over the last few years is thanks to the hard work put in by both Stewart and Nicki Lines and their hard-working team at Maximum Motorsport. Increasing our support was an easy decision and we look forward to another fantastic year for the championship.”

Championship Promoter Stewart Lines welcomes the increased support from Berkshire Turbo ahead of the 2024 season.

“I would like to personally thank Chris Reilly for all his support over the last few years. Motorsport is a tough place to get sponsorship. Chris believed in what we have been doing since day one and has always supported us. We are looking forward to promoting his brand as one of the biggest sellers of mountain bikes in the UK.”
