Power Maxed Car Care Racing has confirmed that Jac Constable will compete in this year’s Goodyear Touring Car Trophy incorporating TCR UK, driving one of the team’s Leon Cupra TCRs. The 23-year-old from Fleet joins the team as its 2021 BTCC development driver and will use his TCR UK campaign to provide invaluable, high-level, saloon car racing experience.

Having taken the Ginetta GT4 Am title in 2017 – winning an impressive 13 of the 23 races outright – before going on to secure another win in the Dubai 24-hour “Championship of The Continents” in 2018, series organisers predict that Jac is going to be ‘one to watch’ in 2021.

With a history of providing opportunities for up-and-coming talent, Power Maxed Car Care Racing Team Manager Martin Broadhurst said:

The TCR UK-based driver development programme we’ve put together is a great way of giving Jac the experience necessary to join the fiercely competitive BTCC grid and transfer his skills in rear-wheel-drive sports cars to front-wheel-drive touring cars.

Understandably, Jac is excited about the year ahead and having been offered the opportunity to become the Power Maxed Car Care Racing BTCC development driver and join this season’s Goodyear Touring Car Trophy/TCR UK grid, he said:

When I had the call from Martin offering me the Development Drive, I was over the moon. This will be my first year racing a front-wheel-drive car and I’m relishing the challenge. What better way to get up to speed than a season’s racing in TCR UK, especially with PMR’s guidance and experience behind me.
