After making his debut in the final rounds of 2022 at Snetterton, George Jaxon will take on his first full season in the TCR UK Touring Car Championship in 2023 as he moves to JWB Motorsport.

Jaxon will drive a CUPRA Leon Competición TCR after making his debut in an older CUPRA TCR last year, with a full pre-season test programme planned to get used to his new car.

Having sampled the championship last October, the Trade Nation-sponsored driver decided that his future lay in the UK’s TCR Series and is excited to be a part of the championship.

As it enters its third year of expansion with new drivers, teams and cars arriving for the season start at Snetterton over the Easter weekend, Jaxon is excited to be on the grid and looking forward to getting stuck in as part of an expanding and competitive grid.

“My experience at Snetterton last year showed me that the best way forward for my racing career is to be in TCR UK and I’m excited to have put a deal in place to drive one of the new CUPRA Leon Competición TCRs with Nick Beaumont’s squad, JWB Motorsport,” explained Jaxon.

“I’ve been watching previous seasons’ races and TCR UK has seen growth in both 2021 and 2022 and I can’t wait to go racing full-time in 2023. I’ve got a full programme of testing in place to make sure that I can close in on my aim of taking regular top ten race finishes and maybe, the odd reverse gird pole position!”

George Jaxon’s CUPRA Leon Competición TCR is backed by his partners at Trade Nation, Lakeside Oils, Yield Gallery, Emotion Wraps, Kam Racing and Race & Rally.
