2023 will be the debut season for reigning Airtec Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Champion Jenson Brickley, as he steps up to the TCR UK Touring Car Championship in a family-run CUPRA Leon Competición TCR.

The Leicestershire-based driver has previously been crowned as champion in 2018 in both the British Stock Car Championship and European Stock Car Championship, before moving to the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship in 2020, where he became the champion the following year.

Keeping up his run of good form as he progressed up the national racing ladder, Jenson secured the 2022 Airtec Motorsport Fiesta ST240 title and will now move up to the UK’s national TCR Championship as he looks to make an impact in his first year.

Starting his first season with the latest generation CUPRA Leon Competición TCR, which was previously run by Volcano Motorsport in TCR Europe, Jenson has an intensive testing programme planned for January this year.

Looking ahead to the new season, Jenson is clear in his aims for the 2023 TCR UK Touring Car Championship.

“I’m looking to hit the ground running as soon as I can, using the first couple of rounds to make sure I finish and get used to the racing as TCR UK is an extremely competitive championship. As I get more seat time, I’m looking to make sure that I get some top-five finishes by the end of the year,” explained Jenson.

“TCR UK has really grown over the last two years and for both myself and the team, this is a natural step up from racing in Fiesta’s, especially with the BRSCC Fiesta Junior championship becoming an official feeder series this year. I’m really excited to get started!”
