Chameleon Motorsport has confirmed that Lewis Brown will drive the team’s second CUPRA Leon Competición in the TCR UK Championship finale at Snetterton on 23rd October.
The MINI Challenge racer tested a CUPRA TCR earlier this year at Brands Hatch, where he completed over 100 laps in a test alongside Chameleon Motorsport team principal Neil Trotter.
With his full-season duties now complete, Brown is one of a number of new drivers who will join the championship for rounds fourteen and fifteen, where he is looking forward to making a positive debut.
Brown is part of the team’s expanded and upgraded line up, as Chameleon Motorsport moves from running one CUPRA TCR to running two CUPRA Leon Competición TCRs, ahead of a full-season attack for next year with the newer cars.
Brown is excited about making his debut in this year’s TCR UK Championship and speaks highly of his hopes for his debut weekend.
“We had a really successful day shaking down the car at Brands Hatch. The CUPRA is a brand new challenge for me, but it was encouraging to be setting competitive lap times straight out of the blocks.
“I’ve had confidence in the car’s ability from the get go, so ambitions are high going into Snetterton. We’ll be targeting top-five finishes, and if I can get on the podium, even better!”
