Maximum Motorsport can confirm today (18th December 2024) that it has reached an agreement with the 750 Motor Club regarding the authorised entry of TCR cars in 2025.

This new agreement, with 750MC using an authorised sub-licence, means that all homologated Gen 1 TCR cars can compete in all 750MC events as well as the TCR UK Gen 1 Cup next year.

With a growing market of Gen 1 cars, the Gen 1 Classification was introduced just over 12 months ago, providing owners the chance to compete for honours within any TCR Series around the globe in the “Gen 1 Cup”.

Further details on the new agreement between both organisations will be provided in due course.

TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines commented on the new agreement between both organisations.

“The TCR concept has grown in the UK since 2019, it started with only 3 TCR cars, and now there are over 70 TCR cars in the UK. Our aim is to work with all parties who own TCR cars to give them a legal platform to operate in and be a part of the TCR family moving forward.”

750 Motor Club Managing Director Giles Groombridge also commented on the new agreement.

“I welcome this new agreement, which is mutually beneficial for all owners of Gen 1 TCR cars, enabling them to compete in 750 Motor Club events from 2025 and beyond. We look forward to cooperating further with Maximum Motorsport and WSC in the future,” said Giles.

“We hope this announcement puts any concerns to rest for drivers and teams who are looking to compete in both our events and TCR UK next year.”
