The 2022 MotorsportDays Live event held at Silverstone last weekend (4th & 5th November), has been hailed as a success by the TCR UK Touring Car Championship organisers.

The popular post-season show returned to the International configuration of the British Grand Prix venue, with the championship promoters Maximum Motorsport and race-winning team Power Maxed Racing providing two CUPRA TCRs for prospective new drivers to try out.

The cars were in action across both days of the event, where TCR UK aspirants tested the limits of the Northamptonshire circuit in changeable weather conditions, with an eye to moving up to the championship for the 2023 season.

Following the event, newly announced Championship Manager Ashley Gallagher commented:

“It’s been my pleasure to attend the 2022 MotorsportDays Live event at Silverstone last weekend, my first visit to the show, giving me more insight into the already high level of interest in the TCR UK Touring Car Championship for 2023 and beyond,” said Gallagher.

“MotorsportDays provided the opportunity for new teams and drivers to understand the championship better, as they look to make the next step up in their respective motorsport careers.”

“We were able to provide a clear platform for the drivers to take the cars out on track, experience the potential behind them and what we can offer as part of the global TCR family. We look forward to welcoming both new and existing customers next year as the championship moves into its new era.”
