TCR UK Touring Car Championship promoter Stewart Lines has personally pledged a total prize fund of £3,000 to this weekend’s opening event at Brands Hatch.
As a thank you to those who have supported TCR UK and its efforts over the winter, Lines has confirmed that the following amounts will be awarded across the three races:
- Race winner: £400.00
- Second Place: £200.00
- Third Place: £100.00
- Highest placed Goodyear Diamond Trophy driver: £150.00
- Highest placed Gen 1 Cup driver: £150.00
Following on from the 2023 season, where prize money was awarded across all seven events, Lines has pledged this prize money across all three races at Brands Hatch this weekend, with race one taking place on Saturday and races two and three taking place on Sunday.
Championship Promoter Stewart Lines commented on the move ahead of the event.
“It’s been a difficult off-season for many in Motorsport and it’s great to see those who have committed to returning to TCR UK as well as seeing new faces, teams and cars also joining the championship,” said Stewart.
“By offering this prize money for this weekend’s event, this is our way of saying thank you to those who have joined for the start of the 2024 season. We look forward to some great racing and to more competitors joining us next month at Snetterton.
