TCR UK Podium Finisher and World Tour Point Scorer Luke Sargeant will make his return to the TCR UK Touring Car Championship this weekend, as he rejoins Vannin Motorsport for rounds 11 and 12 of the 2026 season.
Sargeant returns to what is a three-car expanded lineup for the Donington Park Grand Prix weekend, as he joins reigning champion Adam Shepherd and 2026 debutant Barry-John McHenry in the team.
2026 has so far been a new chapter for Sargeant, as he has already competed in previous rounds of TCR Spain, as well as taking part in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour event in Valencia earlier this year, where he took his Audi RS3 LMS TCR to a points-scoring finish on his debut.
Having changed to a new Audi after his original car was damaged during the Vila Real TCR World Tour event, Luke is now back in the UK and getting ready to take on the challenge of the Grand Prix layout at the Leicestershire circuit, a venue that has been kind to him in the past.
With podium finishes and strong performances during his previous stints in TCR UK, the Vannin Motorsport driver is now back to get to grips with the new car as well as making his first appearance in the championship in 2026.
Going into the weekend, Luke is excited to be back in the championship and looking forward to putting important miles on the Audi at a track he knows well.
“I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be competing in TCR UK this weekend, as I return to the series at Donington Park. It’ll be fun to be back with the guys I’ve raced with for the last 3 years,” said Luke.
“Staying on with Vannin Motorsport this year, I’ve already made my debut in TCR Spain as well as taking part in the TCR World Tour, which has been a real thrill. We’ve come back to put some miles on the new car before resuming our TCR Spain campaign later this year, and I couldn’t think of anywhere better to do this than at Donington Park, following the team’s recent success.”
Rounds 11 and 12 of the TCR UK Touring Car Championship will take place on the Donington Park Grand Prix layout as part of the British GT race weekend, with both races being streamed live on the TCR UK YouTube channel.
