2025 TCR UK debutant Finn Leslie has accepted a chance to drive in the British Touring Car Championship this weekend at Oulton Park.

The Junior Touring Car driver will join the Speedworks Motorsport squad, driving one of their Toyota Corolla GR Sport entries.

Leslie, who has two podium finishes and a further five top-six finishes to his credit in his first season of competing in the TCR UK Touring Car Championship, will complete the 2025 season, driving a Power Maxed Racing-run Hyundai i30 N TCR.

The aim of the Junior Touring Car Driver programme, when launched in late 2024, is to provide the opportunity for young drivers to make the step up into Touring car racing, allowing them to learn and grow as a driver in this competitive discipline.

Seventeen-year-old Leslie has been a revelation in the 2025 season, moving up from the ultra-competitive BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship as the Mk7 champion, to making his debut in TCR UK.

Finn has already built plenty of experience driving the front wheel drive 2.0 litre turbocharged Hyundai TCR across the first eleven rounds of the season, with six left to go.

This news is also a great sign with both the BTCC and TCR UK running under the British Automobile Racing Club in 2025, showing that there is progression within Touring Car Racing in the UK between the two series and providing young drivers with opportunities to sample both touring car disciplines.

TCR UK Championship Manager Jack Finlan welcomes the chance that Finn has been offered this weekend.

“I’m incredibly pleased to see Finn offered the chance to drive in the BTCC at Oulton Park this weekend. Finn has hit the ground running during this year’s TCR UK campaign and has already grown as a driver as part of the Junior Touring Car driver programme,” said Jack.

“Motorsport has its twists and turns, so you never know when the chance to take the next step up will arrive. It’s great to see young drivers getting opportunities like this. I look forward to seeing how Finn performs this weekend and in his future career as a TCR driver.”
