Welcome to the first review of how the drivers in the 2024 TCR UK Touring Car Championship have performed in the Kumho TCR World Ranking.

The Kumho TCR World Ranking was introduced last year, where drivers who compete in official TCR Competition around the globe, score points via a dedicated system.

At a location to be decided and on a date to be decided, selected drivers from Regional and National series compete against each other in the Kumho FIA TCR World Ranking Final.

Let’s take a look at how the TCR UK Touring Car Championship drivers have progressed after rounds one, two and three took place at Brands Hatch in Kent recently. The details below are correct as of the TCR World Rankings published on 17th April 2024.

Carl Boardley storms up to 27th place

Reigning champion Carl Boardley has moved up to 27th place in the ranking following a pair of second-place finishes at the opening round of the championship at Brands Hatch, climbing 17 spots and is now the best-placed driver in the series.

Despite a strong weekend for Adam Shepherd, the three oldest results the now CUPRA driver dropped were worth more than the results he scored at Brands Hatch, and so he has slipped six spots to 47th overall.

Joe Marshall had a good weekend in his Audi RS 3 and has climbed 21 places to 67th, moving ahead of new CUPRA driver Brad Hutchison in the ranking. him drop ten positions to 29th.

Viktor Andersson on the verge of the top 100

Guest star Viktor Andersson won on his TCR UK debut and this has helped his ranking position massively. The Swedish racer climbed 33 positions and is now in 104th, just outside of the top 100.

Breaking into the top 100 is Callum Newsham, the new championship leader, whose win in Race 3 helped propel him 20 places up the ranking and into 88th position.
