Organisers of the Maximum Networks Volkswagen Racing Cup incorporating the Goodyear Touring Car Trophy and TCR UK are pleased to announce the third running of the Tom Walker Memorial Trophy.

As it has done in the past, the competition for this prestigious award will take place at Donington Park, with this year’s qualifying event hosted by the sixth and final meeting of the season on Bank Holiday Monday, 30th August.

Dedicated to Tom Walker, a former VW Cup competitor and friend to the series, the trophy will be awarded to the driver who scores the highest number of points combined from the day’s two races.

Previously, the trophy has been fought out between drivers racing in the VW Cup, whereas this year competitors in TCR and NGTC cars will be challenging for the annual award. Previous winners were Owen Walton in 2019 and Jack Depper in 2020.

With the event hosting a huge car show and a plethora of motorsport activity, including a 20-minute and a 25-minute race for TCR and NGTC cars, the day is shaping up to be a truly memorable occasion.

Aiming to end what has been a landmark season for the championship with the biggest Goodyear Touring Car Trophy and TCR UK grid ever, organisers extend an invitation to teams and drivers with an eligible car to take part in what promises to be an event to remember.
