Will Beech and Capture Motorsport are back for the 2025 season of the TCR UK Touring Car Championship.
Will is returning to the championship for his second consecutive season, where he has moved up to driving a newer CUPRA Leon Competicion TCR this year.
Meanwhile, Capture Motorsport has increased its entry for the new season, where Will will also be joined by the already announced Gregory Saunders.
Will was one of the title contenders in the inaugural running of the Gen 1 Cup last season, where he drove a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR. Whilst finishing in ninth place in the Drivers Championship, he took eight wins in the Gen 1 Cup itself.
A testing programme is already in place for the Cheshire-based driver as he plans to get some seat time in the CUPRA ahead of the start of the 2025 season, taking place at Donington Park on 22nd-23rd of March.
“The new season isn’t far away now and I’m very excited to get behind the wheel of the CUPRA Leon Competicion TCR and get some laps in. Compared to the Volkswagen, it’s a very different car, however, I’m looking forward to learning about how to extract the best of it,” said Will.
“Moving up to driving a Gen2 TCR car means that I’ve got some learning to do, however, as the team will be running two cars this year, there is plenty of data to help improve both entries. I’m taking each weekend as it comes as I look to progress up the order.”
TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines welcomes the news about the expanded Capture Motorsport entry this year.
“It’s great to see Capture Motorsport returning to TCR UK this year and increasing their entry. I’m pleased to see that the team has now moved to the newer Gen2 CUPRA and that Will has the opportunity to show his talent in a newer TCR car,” explained Stewart.
“I’m also delighted to see that the recent measures we have taken, are now resulting in more drivers and teams coming forward to compete in TCR UK this season.”
