Lewis Kent leaves the opening Oulton Park weekend for the Dunlop Touring Car Trophy/TCR UK with a race win, 47 points and the championship lead. A lightning start for the Hyundai i30 N TCR on a damp circuit saw him hit back at rival Henry Neal to ensure the pair leave the weekend with just one point between them.

Henry Neal started 2020 as he’d finished 2019, with a race win in the Dunlop Touring Car Trophy/TCR UK Championship, proving that even the Coronavirus Pandemic could not stop the Worcestershire racer. On a slowly drying Oulton Park circuit, the Honda Civic Type R was quickest to find his feet, scything past early race leader Lewis Kent by the halfway stage.

Dan Kirby surprised the establishment with pole position in his maiden Dunlop Touring Car Trophy / TCR UK qualifying session. A time of 1:57.206 was good enough for pole around a slippery Oulton Park.

Darelle Wilson returns to the Touring Car trophy for his 3rd year of competing in the TCR UK championship at Oulton Park this Saturday.

This weekend will see Power Maxed Racing take to the track once again, for the inaugural rounds of the 2020 TCR-UK Championship, alongside the Volkswagen Racing Cup.

The Dunlop Touring Car Trophy / TCR UK Championship returns to Oulton Park this weekend (Saturday 18th July) to the site of the 2019 season opener for what will be this decade’s first event. After a spectacular introduction for TCT last year, the category will combine with TCR UK in points and track space, ensuring the tantalising battles we saw last year will now have even more weight to them.
